03 / BEFORE TREATMENT
Before starting treatment
- The imported formulations described by the clinic are not approved products in Japan; acne treatment is not an approved Japanese indication. Korean MFDS-approved formulations are imported under the doctor’s responsibility. Adverse effects from these imported products fall outside Japan’s adverse drug reaction relief scheme.
- Isotretinoin can seriously harm an unborn baby. Do not use during pregnancy, possible pregnancy or breastfeeding. Effective contraception is required from one month before treatment until one month after, with pregnancy testing as directed.
- Do not combine it with tetracycline antibiotics such as minocycline. Disclose vitamin A supplements and other acne medicines. Do not donate blood during treatment or for one month afterwards.
- Dry lips, skin and eyes, and changes in liver function or lipids may occur. Seek medical advice promptly for severe headache, changes in vision or mood, or other concerning symptoms. Regular blood tests are required.

Can I choose my own dose?
No. The doctor considers body weight, skin condition, blood tests and side effects.
What if I am planning a pregnancy?
Do not start treatment; inform your doctor. If pregnancy is suspected while taking it, stop immediately and contact a medical professional.
What if I also use Mounjaro or other medicines?
Disclose all medicines and supplements. Your doctor will review combinations and your contraception individually.
